Give somebody books

Buy books for a family you know. They choose what the books are about, and you choose how many there are.

We write and illustrate each TaleTykes book for one child, at the level they are reading. You give the books, and the reader chooses every story.

What happens

  1. You pay once. Nothing renews, and there is no account to create.
  2. We send a code either to you or straight to them.
  3. They enter it in their settings or on the redeem page, and we add the books to their account.
What to give

We send the receipt and the code to this address. Afterwards we keep only a one-way hash of it.

Who we send the code to

We show this to the adult who uses the code, and never to a child.

Nothing renews. This is a one-off payment for a set number of books, and the code is valid for 2 years from the day it reaches them.

By buying a gift you agree to our terms. Our privacy notice says what we do with the addresses you give us, and Refunds says when money is given back.

What we keep about you

We don’t keep the address the receipt went to. We keep a one-way hash of it and nothing else. The hash is enough to match a refund or a question to a purchase, and that is the only reason anybody here would look one up.

If you write a message, we show it to the adult who uses the code and never to a child.

If you choose a day to send it, we keep the family’s address, and yours if you have no account, encrypted until that day so that we can send it and tell you it went. We delete both as soon as it has gone.
