Books for a new big brother or sister
When a baby arrives, the older child gets a lot of advice and not much attention. These books are about them.
Most presents at a birth are for the baby. Books from TaleTykes go to the family, and the older child makes them: they choose the characters, the place and what the story is about, and they can be the one it happens to.
A story can be about whatever the child is into at the moment, from diggers to sharks. Each book is written at the level the child reads and read along with them, so it is something they can do while the grown-ups are busy.
What kind of book they get
The family chooses the level when they use the code, so you do not need to know it. These are the four kinds of book we write.
- A short picture book to share aloud.
- A first book to read yourself, built from sounds you know.
- A first chapter book with a hook at the end of each chapter.
- A longer story with subplots, and paths you can choose.
How to give them
Books start at $8.99 for 10. You pay once and nothing renews. We send a code to you or to the family, and it can be used for 1 year. You do not need an account, and we do not ask you anything about the child.
