| Sprout | Pre-K – K |
| Sapling | Grades 1–2 |
| Grove | Grades 3–5 |

Where you choose the grade
When you add a child, you pick a grade: Pre-K, K, or 1 through 8. See Add a child. The band follows from it.
Common questions
My child is between grades. Which do I choose?
Choose the grade they are in now. Their band follows.
Can I change the grade later?
Not in the app yet. Email support@taletykes.com with your child's nickname and the right grade, from the account's email address.
Does the band decide what my child reads?
The band sets the screen: sizes and sign-in options.
Does a band say how well my child reads?
No. It is a grade grouping, not a score.
