One account can belong to more than one school, for example a specialist who teaches in two buildings or a coach who works across a district. The teacher pages and the school admin pages show one school at a time, and you choose which one from your account menu.
Switch school
- Choose your initial at the top right of any teacher or admin page.
- Under "Switch school", choose the school you want. The school you are in now is marked "Now".
The pages, the class list, the alerts and the counts then all belong to that school. "Switch school" only appears for an account in more than one school.
What is remembered
The school you chose is remembered on this browser for a year, so you come back to it next time. It is not shared with your other devices, and it is not a permission: every page still checks that you belong to the school it shows. If you leave a school or it closes, the pages go back to one of your other schools.
When you join a school's staff from an invitation, the pages switch to that school.
Admin pages
The school admin pages show the chosen school when you are an admin there. If you only teach at the school you chose, "School admin" takes you to its teacher pages instead. Switch to a school you run to see its admin pages.
Opening a class from a link
A link to a class, for example in an email, opens that class whichever school is chosen, as long as you teach it. The menu and the class list around it still show the chosen school until you switch.
