What we collect about your child
The few things TaleTykes stores about a child, what we never ask for, and where each piece comes from.
Updated November 3, 2026 · 2 min read
We collect only what we need to run the reading service: a nickname, a grade, an optional birth year, the picture your child uses to sign in, and a random device id. We never ask for a last name, photo, school, home address, phone number or location.
This page is a plain-words summary. The binding text is the children's notice.

What we do with it
We use it to pick and write the next books for your child, to show you how reading is going, to keep the service safe, and to fix problems. We never use it for ads, never sell it, and never use it to train AI models.
