What we keep and for how long
| Information | How long |
|---|---|
| Reading activity | 24 months, then deleted on a rolling basis |
| Read-aloud recordings (only if voice is on) | 30 days |
| Writing | Until you delete it or close the account |
| Proof of your consent | 3 years after your account closes |
The full terms are in the children's notice.
When you close an account or delete a child
We delete the child's information within 30 days. We keep consent records for the period above, because the law expects us to be able to show that consent was given.
When you withdraw consent
If you withdraw the reading-service choice, we stop collecting and delete your child's information within 30 days.
How to ask
Open Settings → Privacy and data to delete one child or close the account, or Settings → Family and access to withdraw a consent. You can also email privacy@taletykes.com from the address on your account. Say which child, and whether you want to close the account, delete one child, or withdraw consent.
