TaleTykes has no ads and no third-party analytics, and nothing designed to keep a child on the screen.

TaleTykes shows no ads, uses no third-party analytics or trackers, and never sells information. We count how the service is used with our own tools only.

What we don't do

Show ads, to children or adults
Use advertising ids
Add third-party analytics or tracking tools
Sell or rent anyone's information
Use a child's information to train AI models

What children don't get

Notifications
Streaks that can be lost
Endless feeds. Today's shelf holds three books, filled once a day. Where older children can see more library books, Show more stops after a few taps a day.

What we do count

We keep first-party records, meaning records on our own systems, so we can fix problems and see whether the service works. In the help center, that means the ratings and counts described here.

Companies that run the service

Some companies run parts of TaleTykes for us, such as hosting, the database, email and payments. They work under contracts that limit them to providing that service. The children's notice lists each one and what they receive.

Do you use Google Analytics or similar?

No.

Do cookies track my child?

We use a cookie to remember a reading device you trusted. It is not for advertising.

Will you ever add ads?

Our notice says we never use a child's information for advertising.
